The WhizArte FireShark is moving ahead and backwards.

You have entered a new 4th dimension of art and pain.

You know how it goes, one step forward, make a mistake, take two steps back. In the 35 + years I have been doing this work, the way has never changed. When you dealing with real handmade complex projects, its inevitable that there will be mistakes.

I see sign shops today that are 100% computer driven and they jam off a continuous run of printed and cut sheets of graphics and letters that only change in the wording and substrate. Boring and predictable. In some areas that we travel through, you can see nothing but red, black and blue block letters on white backgrounds. Money first. If you were to ask them to make a construct like this fish, or handpaint a  bowl of spaghetti, they have to farm it out because at the bottom they have no real art skills, letting the computer run their business with money as a focus. Too bad, it makes the life you see, a bit more dead inside.

So, back to the fish. I was painting it today, medium blue along the dorsal area and dang, the airbrush tube that draws the paint out of the jar, split and proceeded to vomit gobs of paint over my smooth fades. Arghh!. Now its let that paint dry, ( oil again) and tomorrow, repaint the grey base followed by a blue repaint.

Heres a rule for ya....its the Murphys/Finagle rule.

Part 1, Murphys rule...whatever can go wrong will go wrong....

Part 2, Finagles rule....we will fix whatever is wrong with whatever we have at hand.

The broken airbrush pickup tube was replaced with a small section of ....airbrush hose.

Irony.
