#JackedKirby - Galactus Saturday!!! 💥💥💥 Today I wanted to post a few images of the world eater himself, Galactus, from the 1978 Silver Surfer graphic novel. Jack revisits his old FF supporting characters in his last team up with his old co-Creator Stan Lee for one last rodeo.... and I don’t think he ever drew the Purple Planet Eater better!!! 💥💥💥 This book is a treasure of great Jack art, but his Galactus panels are amazing. It’s funny because I personally think is some of his best Marvel work ever... even though most people agree he was beginning to decline in the late 70s and his peak period at Marvel would be 1959-69. 💥💥💥 Maybe it was the new “Fireside Book” format that the Silver Surfer graphic novel came in that inspired such great art... or maybe it was that Jack was never given a chance to draw a proper goodbye to the Surfer/Galactus characters. Or maybe he was just trying to show the world that he was still The King Of Comics no matter how old he was... either way these Galactus images are proof that he was still on the throne for sure!!! 💥💥💥 #JackKirby #KingKirby #Kirby #KirbyAndLee #Galactus #SilverSurfer #FF #FantasticFour #FiresideTPB #TradePaperback #GraphicNovel #Comic #Comics #ComicBook #ComicBooks #IGComics #ComicsOfIG #70sComics #ComicsOfThe70s https://www.instagram.com/p/B2-YaiHBc6a/?igshid=6szte248upxo
