Since when has Red Son been in love with Xiaotian? Did he love him right away ? Did they always get along ?
I actually showed Red Son's reason in my latest chapter :3
He's loved Xiaotian since they were younger. They didn't always get along, but were at least friends. In truth, it was because of their parent's connection that made them friends, but it was Xiaotian himself that won Red Son over. (Red Son actually thought Xiaotian was an annoying friend XD A cute friend, but annoying.)
For he saw Red Son as who he was, and valued him without needing a reason to. Red Son, who was so used to everyone looking at him with expectations, was mesmerized that Xiaotain didn't care for any of that.

Why does Red Son love Xiaotian ? I see that he looks good, but I bet Red Son has more reasons than that
Red Son feels the world only values him because of who his parents are. They look at him with endless expectations. All wanting something from him.
His parents are similar. Sometimes, he feels they only value him for what he can do for them (his machines and creations) they do love him, but they struggle to remember to make time for him to remind him of this
Xiaotian, well, he doesnt want anything from Red Son. Just to be by his side. He could care less that he is a prince or not. Red Son has never had anyone who just wanted him. Whose day is better simply by being there. Who doesn’t need some big reason to hang out with him.
And Red Son will befriend many more people that will view him in the same way. He will find those he can truly call friends and family. But Xiaoxiao was the first.
And that first will forever hold a special place to him.
There were many other little instances that strengthened this feeling. Xiaotian’s wit, his humor, his strength despite his weaker body. But it all spurred from Xiaotian’s earnest desire to just be Red Son’s friend
So even if nothing comes from this, and Xiaotian does not feel the same, Red Son won’t be sad. He’s just glad he’s got someone like Xiaotian in his life
