i will see your Ripley mutilating Pery's wings and raise you Smoke Demons. Just Percy living with these half there wings and keeping them bound to his back hidden under his coat, then after The Dream slowly the missing pieces get replaced by smoky semi solid bone and feathers. he still keeps them bound until returning to Whitestone and then them STAYING after they defeat Orthax and him trying to cut them off himself to sever any link he has to the demon. The Scars of Orthax Remain mayhap? >:3c

hmmm... i still prefer wing au where everyone has wings, honestly, because a) wings, b) wing kink as standard, and c) wings. but also hiding / binding wings is something i really like, so... decisions decisions. i do like the idea of percy with his wings pressed as tight as he can against his back, laboriously winding bandages around himself from hips to armpits every morning to try and keep them as still and unnoticable as possible - thank god for that big bulky coat, and bad news on his back, hiding the slight shape of them as much as possible. ending up with them warped, a permanent ache in them, losing feathers and gaining sores in their place because wings are not made to be bound so tightly...

i’m not much a fan of the idea of him cutting mostly-healthy wings off voluntarily though, something about that makes my skin crawl :// and i think percy - being a scientist and a pragmatist and someone who seems very okay with embracing his position as flawed and dark and tainted - would be reluctant to remove anything that could be investigated, might be of use to them in their quest to rid the world of a conclave. after all... it’s worth losing himself, if they defeat the dragons, right? if they get to the end of this, and someone has to put him down, then he’s okay with that. vax has already promised to do so. he’ll have had his use, played his part, and then he can be disposed of, because he’s disposable as long as his family is alright and untainted.

so i just found a Critical role Wing!au by thebadnewslist where Percy wasn't born with wings and made his own and thought "ooh Sparx might like this" then thought "no... no Sparx would need more angst" and then i remembered Percy was tortured. just what better way to fuck someone up than slowly, over the course of days, remove the things that lets them fly the things that are the literal embodiment of freedom. after this train wreck i thought "oh yes now it's worthy of Sparx" :3

omg... i haven’t seen that au, somehow, but oh man... i really, really love wing aus, and i really love characters without wings, or with wing issues or disabilities, in wing aus, and wing amputation is one of the rare, random thing that genuinely fucks me up a lil bit in fiction, so i am 100% here for this tbh. please just keep piling the trauma onto the poor sad gun boy tbh.

even better: she removes just one of the wings, or just half of one of his wings. so they’re still there, he can still feel them and move them, still catch a tiny bit of air if he jumps high enough and flaps hard enough... but it’s the barest metre of lift from them. they’re functionally useless, not even decorative or attractive any more after the huge, ropey scars she carved through them, places where the feathers never properly grew back when she burned them or pulled them out, where one healed crooked when she broke one of the larger bones that runs across the top. especially bad if wings in this au are status symbols of a sorts, or considered indications of character / wealth / good grooming, or a major part of what people look for when deciding if someone is attractive / trustworthy / good. percy brought low from being a nobleman with proud, glossy, beautiful wings that made everyone respect him, to having these ragged, mutilated things that people can barely look at that make everyone eye him with suspicion.

(especially here for this since stuff that actually recognises he was, y’know, actually tortured by ripley is so weirdly rare, like. where’s all the torture fic. where’s the stuff looking at how the torture fucked him up rather than just the death of his family. c’mon, give me stuff exploring how his time with ripley messed with percy’s relationship with pain, with physical contact, with coping mechanisms, with sex, with enclosed spaces and restraints and medical instruments, with anything, i just want fic about it tbh.)

are there going to be more episode of Forbidden Lying? cause i thought those were super awesome, as someone who only knows anything at all about like three Lyings (the Witch in the Well, Priest Lying and Sir Lying) i found the episodes really cool.

There’s 3 more still to do, some unexpected and substantial expenses came up after blood!Lying’s video that caused the series to be put on hold.

so i recently started watching Edgington again and can't find any fan art of it. it there just none or is it all hidden within the depths of the internet? :c i also bought Timber and Stone because of Edgington but that Spider Matriarch kinda made me scared to play XD

To the best of my knowledge, there has been one piece of Edgington fanart to date (buried somewhere in a tag flooded by True Blood fans), featuring Samantha the Great. A pity really, there’s so many fun moments and cool characters in that series.
