Dragon Age 4/-?

So there’s an article about Dragon Age 4 speculating the release date and it talks about how there’s a chance the next game released might not even be in the same chronological order as previous games and it just got me thinking-

What if it’s a prequel?

Guys, just imagine: An Andrastrian prequel. You could be Chasind, Tevinter, etc. A prequel for the hero of the Fereldan/Orlais war- involving King Maric & General Loghain. Seeing Maric & Fiona’s romance up close. The first Blight. The original wardens. So much could be done!

I’m just saying, guys. I know we all wanna kick some ass in a post-DA3 world with Inquisitor cameos and so on, but imagine a pre-5th Blight Thedas in which we can fuck shit up in retrospect.

That’s the shit I’m here for.

It's kinda hard to properly comprehend how devastating the Blights were since there are no concrete numbers of casualties, but to give a comparison, the Black Death is assumed to have wiped out as much as 50% of the total population of Europe, and that took only 7 years

The First Blight, which not only involved a highly contagious disease with a 100% death rate but also literal armies of darkspawn actively trying to kill anything in their path, lasted for 200

It was an extinction event with possibly as much as a 90% death toll of the total population of Thedas
