Thoughts on first YouTube Series

Well, the recording, editing, uploading, and commenting on my first YouTube series has come and gone.  I wanted to offer up some thoughts on my experiences making videos for the first time.

Let me get this out of the way early... Making videos to put on YouTube is HARD as F!  Sure, I could have been like anyone that was new to making videos, recorded my footage with a cellphone and recorded audio with the webcam mic and been happy with that, but let’s face it.... I wanted to do something that was higher quality right from the start.

But it is hard.... It takes a lot of time and I only have a lot of respect for the people that do this for a living.  I’m talking about the @markiplier, @pewdie, and @therealjacksepticeye; not to mention countless others who have made this their life’s work.

I am eternally grateful for the passion they have for doing what they do and how they continue to do this, not to mention all the stuff they do off of YouTube for the community. I took inspiration from not only those three mentioned above, but others as well to try and make something that looks like I put in effort. I’m not perfect by any means, and I know I can do a lot better. Even though there are not many subscribers, views, or likes... I’m okay with that.  I’m not worried about how many people like my stuff or subscribe to the channel.  The main thing for me is that I have fun doing this, and I did!

I had more fun than I thought I would, despite how difficult it was. This isn’t something where I can record the entire game, break it up, and upload it to YouTube in one day.... I recorded my footage in one day, but the amount of time it takes to try and clean up audio, work with the video, figure out how I want to lay things out....that time quickly adds up an here we are today on March 15th, nearly a month out from starting, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

At the end of the day, I have to be happy with what I am putting out there to try and entertain with, and while my first certainly won’t be my best, I can tell you it won’t be my last. I’m going to work on my speaking, my structure, my everything so I can keep getting better and better. Anyone that wants to support me, the best thing to do is to comment on the videos I put out, that to me is the thing in YouTube that I will cherish the most. Not the likes, not the subs, but the comments, because it is there that I can interact with all of you and get your feedback on what you want to see!

So I leave you with that today! Keep on playing; don’t ever give up, because you can accomplish great things!

I don’t know what happened that my photoshop crashed and now I can’t use it anymore. I decided to uninstall it and install CC now... but it’s taking too long ;w; I wanted to make gifs tonight...

Also, what hurts more is that I decided to delete all my custom brushes (the rar files) because I thought I wouldn’t need them anymore /I had them for over 2 years/ and now.... I have to look for all those brushes and fonts and patterns and I want to die.
