Day 15. Imagine every time you laughed you’d go straight into a coughing fit. Every time you laughed it would cause pain, it could potentially cause a lung bleed. Before transplant, I don’t remember the last time I laughed without coughing after. ——————————— The first video is Pre-transplant, you can hear at the end the start of what would be a long coughing spell. Laughing was excruciating. ——————————— The second video was the day it all changed. I was given new lungs and little did I know soon after would experience laughter that was effortless. Laughter that didn’t cause pain. ——————————— The last video is a laugh without coughing. You tend to take for granted things like laughing when it seems like something so natural. But, when it literally pains you to laugh, you realize how much you miss it. ——————————— Everyone should be able to laugh without holding back. Without restrictions.
