Slash is a massive fucking legend. You've got that right Dwayne.
“I know a good musician when I see one,” Dwayne nodded and then he snapped his fingers. “Slash has fingertips that are always on fire.”

How's it hangin' boys? I was wondering, how did you guys end up stumbling upon the cave in the first place?
This took David back, way, way back in time and for the first time in a long time, he remembered what it was like to be human. At first he could see the old hotel in all it’s glory, perched atop the side of the cliff. Carriages bringing newcomers rode in and out, dropping their precious cargo, while David sat, perched on the rocks, enjoying the sun. He wrote in his journal about his travels, but just as soon as this memory took hold, another set in. He had seen Max in the lobby there a few times, but he hadn’t been staying long. Then the screams come and he remembered the earthquake. The entire hotel collapsed into itself and bodies fell into the darkness. How he survived, he knew, Max had come for him. “I was there when it fell,” is all he says.
How are my favourite Lost Boys doing? Hugs all around!!
“What’s up girl? Did you think we forgot about you or something?” Paul asks. “I mean you followed us all the way out here, trekking along down the beach, in the dark…not safe you know.” he snickers but falls behind the others a bit to let her fall in line with him. They know she’s calling, but for a second pretend not to.
Marko is the next to cut back. He’s smiling when he turns around, but places his hands behind his back.
“What can we do you for?” David asks. He stops but doesn’t turn around. His eyes are on the prey ahead of them. A group of party goers, drunk on beer.
“Come to watch?” Dwayne asks. “Brave, brave girl.”
Happy Valentines Day guys!! How has your day or night I should say been? And can I get a hug up in this joint?! :D ❤
"Hey you!! Gimme five!" Paul jumps in the air and as he lands he brings his hand down to slap their wonderful friend’s palm. "Okay that wasn’t a hug but it works right? Cuz you know we love ya, girl!"
"Our number one fan," Marko grins. He shoos the pigeons he’s been playing with away and walks over to great her. It’s a heavy hug with a pat on the back. "It’s been a blast, how was yours?"
Dwayne waits and when it’s his turn he gives her one of his big bear hugs and offers her a seat. “Haven’t been in much this weekend. The tourists are out in numbers and the weather’s been great.”
"It’s made me hungry for spring and summer," David admits. He looks around, anxious to get out of the cave already. "Are you going to join us tonight?"
Have you guys ever ran into any strange fortune tellers on the boardwalk before?
"What do you mean by strange?" Marko asks, Squinting just slightly. "I guess if I got to ask that the answer is no. But there is a witch on the boardwalk, hidden. She’s got all kinds of things up her sleeves."
"They creep me out, I don’t go anywhere near them. If I see them, I’ll head the other direction cuz nine times out of ten, they’ll grab your arm and tell you some kind of shit you don’t wanna hear," Paul answers.
"I’ve seen a few fortune tellers, most of the time they’re fake," Dwayne admits. "I have a few things in common with the ones that are true, but I’m not sure about the weird."
"No," David says. "I stay away from the real ones. Once they know what you are, there is always something more they want from you."
Letting Go
This is a little one shot I wrote for Firstcome-Firststaked She is one of my biggest fans on here and recently lost a pet, and I know how hard that is.
Alone on this night, Dwayne was on the prowl for the usual, a warm body to hold close as his fangs cut like razors into it’s soft skin, while the hot blood flooded his mouth and tongue, giving him new life. He wasn’t starving, but he felt the need pulling at his skin underneath the surface and like all beings with a craving, he had set out to find the perfect cookie in the form of a human. He let his feet carry him over the pavement of the boardwalk, still heated from the day’s sun, and when the carousel loomed before him, with it’s bright lights casting an aura instead of a shadow, something within called to him.
The first thing he caught was the scent, the unmistakable smell of salty tears, and even though the beach side boardwalk always smelled of saltwater, the human’s distinct smell was enhanced by the sadness that enveloped her. The second thing that came into play was the sound of muffled sobs. They filled his ears when nothing else around him did and he knew that she was the one, the marked, and intended.
With a preternatural grace that kept him from being noticed by the other humans in the small crowd that gathered around the ride, he made his way in and stepped up onto the planks that created a small circle for the many horses on display.
Aside from the equines, there were also a few other animals scattered around the Merry-Go-Round. A white goat was among these few and he held his head down, looking noble and just as innocent as his rider, the one with the tears. She sat upon him, her face hidden between the animal’s gray horns as her hands lay lightly on the reins, but just as Dwayne approached, she rose from her spot, looked at the vampire and then looked away.
He sidled in between the other beasts of burden and mounted the empty one right next to the saddened girl. “I heard you crying,” he said, his voice low to keep the attention away from them. “I heard it from a ways. Mind telling me what’s wrong?”
The girls heart was steady, yet every now and then it skipped a beat, especially when he spoke to her, as if it were ready to burst, which made her warmth reach out to him and he almost couldn’t keep from licking his lips. Going after blood drenched in sadness wasn’t something he did often, but he knew the girl had called to him, even if she hadn’t realized it. He would help her through this and give her peace.
“I lost something,” she muttered. “Something very dear to me.”
“A family member?” he asked. Out of respect, he didn’t pry into her mind to find this information for the simple fact that not all willing victims needed to be pushed, prodded or coerced, especially those in mourning.
“You could say that, I suppose.” She sniffled and wiped her eyes with her fingers before looking up at him. His hawk like features grabbed her attention right away, and she could tell there was wisdom in his dark brown eyes, enough to where she felt comfortable carrying the conversation further. “Do you believe that animals will find us in the afterlife? The ones we love, I mean?”
“I believe in a lot of things. I believe we’re all connected one way or the other in this life and the next and that our loved ones will be there, even our beloved pets.” Of course he didn’t continue by saying that his soul was damned to hell at this point, but his human spirit, he believed would continue on into that heavenly realm to gather with his Native ancestors.
As he said this, the ride began and there was a small smile on the girl. She didn’t say anything as they circled over and over again, just stared forward, now and again glancing at him.
Dwayne never took his eyes off of her. Even in her down time, she held the spirit of life and he was thirsty for it. At one point he held out his hand to her, the natural allure of his vampiric self helped to ease her troubles enough to where she took it, and when the ride stopped, they walked off of it together.
“Death is heard,” he said, as he released her once they were away from the line. “But it can be a beautiful thing. One day, you’ll understand.” He began to walk away from her, knowing she would follow and sure enough, she did.
“Well wait! What else do you know?”
He could hear her footsteps quickening behind him, as his strides got wider until he reached the stairs near the arcade and kept going.
“Please! I want to know. It’s important to me.”
“You really want me to show you?” he asked, turning sharp enough to where she almost collided right into his chest. He smoothed the hair away from her face and studied the redness of her eyes and cheeks. “Come with me and I will show you.”
She gave herself over then and took his hand without realizing she was under the vampire’s spell. He would show her the difference between life and death as he gave her visions of her loved one, the one that she had lost. It was that easy, because every time he sank his fangs into a mortal, memories of their lives flooded his mind. Hers would come. He would show her what death was all about and in return, she would give him life.
How was your Halloween guys? ((And how was yours? :))
//I’m the head vamp here, even if Max or David would say otherwise so I’m answering first, ha! LOL. I had a good one. We went to my sisters. Her and her hubby own a pizza place so that’s what we had for dinner and we watched Cursed and Scream. I noticed that the guy who plays the head werewolf in Cursed, his face reminds me a bit of Kiefer Sutherland’s. How was yours?//"Yeah, yeah we wanna know how yours was, little lady," Paul says, still wiping his green makeup off from his transformation into Frankenstein. "Had a real good time. Crashed a party and freaked out a group of girls with how cold my skin is."
"Yeah, then we made a mess of em’ out back," Marko adds. "We’re cold, they were warm and dressed for the occasion. Plus the booze in their system was an added bonus."
"Blood rich with booze. And they were kind enough to play our movie up stairs on their big screen TV," Dwayne comments. "Funny they didn’t notice it was us in person."
"They were distracted by the tall green monster who could take a shot while standing on his head…Paul," David grins.
Boys, what are your favourite Guns N' Roses songs? (What is your favourite GN'R song too?) :)
//I'm tired and I pushed post without even answering, doh!!//"All right I'll give you a few of the obvious," Paul says, flipping her an old record of the band to look at. "Three. First is Welcome to the Jungle, then Sweet Child o' Mine, and then Paradise City. Seems obvious right? They're popular, but did you know that Duff had some of the lyrics written to Paradise City even before the band got big and famous? Pretty sweet."
"Don't Damn Me, and Mr Brownstone," Marko nods. "Maybe It's so Easy."
"Night Train, November Rain and Knocking on Heaven's Door," Dwayne also nods. "I've heard Jenn compare me to Slash. I don't play the guitar worth a damn, but I got the look a little bit. Oh and Patience."
"Live and Let Die, My World, and Sympathy for the Devil. That last one might not be one of theirs per say," David says, "But they did a damn good job of it."
//Mine has to be November Rain, Patience, Don't cry (I always cry when I listen to it) Sympathy for the Devil (Movie soundtrack or not) shoot I love all of them, what can I say? LOL//
