What’s your personal favourite thing you wrote this year?

Couldn’t decide on a favorite but I think the one I’m proudest of is a Cassie/Rob Pacific Rim AU with an unreliable narrator & ambiguous ending (is it enough) because even though I don’t think I hit what I was aiming for, I was aiming high and I’d rather fall a little short on something ambitious than really nail something I find easier.

Which of your fics was most different from what you usually write?

I tried writing a bit of TV script (fishhook) and I think it came out kinda rough but I still love parts of it. 💕 definitely want to try that medium again sometime.

What’s your favourite piece of dialogue you wrote this year?

No shining stars of dialogue this year, I think, but I do love the dialogue in Three Men In One Day! because I feel like I did get a decently LM Montgomeryish tone down.

What’s your favourite piece of description or narration?

I’m not sure, but I really like the last scene with Cassie and Frank in Cassie Maddox and the Three Sinners.

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

Sometimes I look at a thing and I go, oh that’s a nice sentence structure and flow! But ultimately the main thing I like about my own writing it’s that it’s mostly sublimation lol. Oh you have feelings? Desires? Anxieties? Elaborate escapist daydreams? Just art about it and then people will give you kudos. Fantastic! Much better than having nowhere to put it all, yknow?

📥 What is your fave fic to receive comments/messages on?

Anything where I stretched myself (longfic, experimental style, ambitious stuff outside my comfort zone, new canon I picked up specifically for the is recip). Or really anything where the commenter lowkey loses it 😂 inspiring the key smash makes me feel great!

🏅 What is something you recently felt proud of in regard to your writing (finished a fic, actually planned for once, etc).

A little while ago, I wrote for somebody I admired but had never gotten up the nerve to gift before. Once I did it, I wished I’d done it sooner.

⏰ Do you spend more time reading fic, writing fic, or do you do both equally?

I write fic way more than I read it, which I think works well for me. But I wish I read more actual books 😫
