When he was told his latest conquest had turned up dead, Urakan didn’t even listen to the young officer trying to explain the situation. He didn’t need to. He knew exactly what happened and that it wasn’t the accident it was made to look like.

Finding Elysia wasn’t difficult. He had access to her schedule and he found her on her way from her shift back to her quarters. Close to them, too, which was a bonus. He didn’t even grace her with a greeting, or a warning. Fuming with anger, he grabbed her by he arm, grip tight enough to hurt, and dragged her inside her own room, even though she’d been headed there anyway. He slammed her against the nearest wall, dearly hoping it would leave her back bruised.

“You crazy bitch.” He snarled in her face, his other hand wrapping around her throat to hold her pinned there. “I don’t know what has fucking possessed you but you’re going to stop, and never raise your hand at anyone I fuck again, or the next body they find will be yours.”

Ave had spent so the last several years of her life trying to forget him. They were living entirely different lives now. Lives that would never let them be together. Every happy memory or reminder of him was only tainted with pain. It was only that much more difficult because they all looked the same. 

Ave found herself in Elysia’s quarters. She sat quietly for too terribly long, trying to think of what to say. At first, Ave was only going to ask Elysia how to get over feelings for a guy. That had to be something Elysia was good at. But every time she tried to force the words out, it only brought her closer to tears. She doesn’t want to be over him.

She sucked in a deep, shaky breath. Elysia must have realized the state Ave was in because she pulled her into a hug and cooed at her. She let her chin rest on her shoulder as her eyes glued to the wall. “I can’t tell you all the details, Elysia. I want to, but I really can’t.” Ave put her own arms around her friend, locking her in the embrace. Ave didn’t want to look her in the eyes as she admitted this. “I... I think I’m in love with someone I can’t have. And I don’t know what to do.”

      The hiss came just as he pulled the woman down and out of sight. Anakin didn’t usually meddle directly into Rebel Affairs. It was much too risky with the bounty on his head. Or so he told himself and Padmé when she caught wind of his solo expeditions. If some of what he did helped the larger goal at hand, than it did. 

      The Imperial base on the edge of the city wasn’t one of the most obviously guarded. There was something Anakin wanted inside, but he’d found the woman sneaking around first. Probably trying to do some kind of recon, or intelligence. This close, it had to be some kind of informant meet up. None other than rebel personnel would be snooping around like this. But Anakin had been watching the base for days. The commanding officer would be around soon, and with him, the activity would increase. It was both good cover for snooping around and also incredibly risky. 

                   “We need not trip any alarms, do we?”
