FISH ADOPT CHEMICAL CAMOUFLAGE: Defense from predators

1.Sleeping  parrotfish envelopes itself in a mucus cocoon to prevent olfactory detection from predators!

Amazing ain't it?? 

2. Harlequin filefish (Oxymonacanthus longirostris; pictured below), a coral-reef fish can match its scent to the odour of the surrounding reef, masking itself from predators.

my male l. ocellatus bit me today when i was doing a water change. i like how cocky he is, taking on something 10x bigger than him, something that can easily crush him and his shell-house and yet he is willing to risk all that just to prove he's mega strong and manly to his lady.
