POV you are a little black seadevil swimming to the surface of the ocean

Certain things are sacred.

Meant for some eyes

And not others.

A sea foam of cloud tops

Swirling against the blue underbelly of space

Meant only for the eyes of birds.

A cage of ribs settled

Silent on the seafloor; a boneyard in the dark abyss

Meant only for me

I should not be up here

In defiance

Of my morphology

But now that I am,

I rise

That I may catch a glimpse of sun-dappled sky

And the eye blazing above the surface

Needling at my flesh:

The teeth of retribution.

I rise and I know

as Icarus knew when he fell

There are some things we were not meant to see

But it is worth the price.

It is worth the undoing.

Basically me being a bit of a dork and using this set of fish-uary prompts to... design Legend of Zelda zoras because I'm incorrigible

so day one of the Fishuary prompts was "shark" and since most of the botw Zora are just "generic sharks" and my designs use that standard as a starting point, I had to go with a more unique shark, hence the lesser spotted dogfish or the spotted catshark (way to be confusing, guys), which is actually one of my favorites because it's more striking.

If I wanted to make a Zora-sona that was supposed to be me I'd probably go with this shark, not just because I like it but because of the long tail. That probably made it into this character design a little, but I'd also probably make myself a little lankier tbh lol, so I'll probably revisit this eventually.
