because dumb fish are easy to draw and I have no time and I'm also somewhat Abnormal about aquatic life anyway (don't ask). Sam was gonna be like a betta or catfish something something boring fish with long 'hair' (the hair being fins or barbels) but idk he deserves to be a swordtail too, if only for family relationship reasons. now I'm thinking of all the angels being different types of angelfish and Gabriel's idea of going underground to hide away is like transforming into a parrotfish or something equally eye-searing and dopey looking I mean what

(definitely not setting myself up to get away with drawing more dumb fish in a few more days and calling it something worth posting whaat noo)

Fish sabriel or more Gabriel

ask and you shall receive and all that ghghsh. nah but I don't think anybody actually realizes that I do accept art requests and such that I'll probably maybe eventually get around to filling. eventually. queue is currently 0 so the odds are looking better than they could be ig. while admittedly unreliable the tradeoff is that it's free which is a pro, though a con is that it is my stuff so do what you want with that information. but yeah fish sabriel time

I imagine this is one of their first fish dates where they're still kinda awkward around each other but still making an effort not to be, hence the beginning of a joke that only gets worse in this AU. I chose to have Gabriel in his true form of an angelfish instead of his parrotfish trickster form to be symbolic or something by trusting Sam with his arguably more vulnerable true self. also parrotfish are significantly larger than swordtails (which is what Sam and Dean are in this AU for hunter reasons) and I couldn't decide whether to make Gabriel massive compared to Sam or to keep him tiny but yeah feel free to vote away for that if you want more fish sabriel in your future
