North Gate of the Bayon
I had Fish Amok for lunch at a Khmer family restaurant. It was really good, I asked for spicy but it was still fairly mild. Apparently, all the restaurants are complaining about lack of customers in June. Pretty much every restaurant has at least one dog sleeping on the floor. They don't bother anyone and don't beg for food. Eric said 'if there are no dogs, it isn't a restaurant'. We went to the North Gate of the Bayon as I cannot climb up to see the heads at the main part of the Bayon temple. We met three monks, from a community within the national park. They posed for me at a small temple site where there were no other tourists. They all smoked tobacco rolled up in a green leaf and had terrible coughs. They laughed a lot. One spoke a bit of English. There were some giant centipedes and many big red ants at that site. Only the ants bit me. So glad I fixed the settings on the camera as I learned how to use it properly.
