We are out on the water during night time at Fisherman's Rest within Fawnmirror Lake. The innumerable twinkling stars cover the night sky above, while a round full-moon hangs in the background. The cranes are still around in the reeds... is this their roosting spot?
We catch a trophy weight Round Whitefish (M size), and an XL size Common Carp that is still not trophy weight despite its size.
Dawn is breaking when we pull back into the pier, bringing back our haul of fish. We earned a total of 361 gold from the 4 fish we caught.
At Rusty's Bait n' Tackle, we spent 500 gold to acquire the license to fish at Grizzlyridge River. A whole new spot called The Rapids opens up.
The Rapids starts us off near a gorgeous mini waterfall formed from a minor rock formation. The territory is filled with brush and a forest of trees, with a snowy mountaintop in the background.
Before heading out, we stop by Rusty's to see what he has to say. Turns out, he's got a new pole for us in his inventory - a Grizzly Pole, that can fish XL and XXL size fish. It can reel in fish up to 34lb. It costs 800 gold, which we can afford thankfully, having saved up.
Out on the water, we catch a Chum Salmon. The length of our fishing area stretches out further than we thought this time...
We found the gorge where the grizzly bears fish for their meals, and admire the beauty of the scenery...
We catch a Coho Salmon and a Muskie along the way, as the river stretches on East... Dusk soon settles in as we head back to dock.
Back at Rusty's, 2 new Hooks & Lures opened up for purchase - the Topwater and the Huge Spoonbait. We purchase them to complete our collection. We also tip Rusty and uncover the next location, which we'll be visiting soon.
I'm not a fan of fishing, but I found a super relaxing game called Dredge*_* I actually learned about it from another game called The Northern Path, but in the same setting and gameplay. It's coming out this year and believe me, it's worth playing too.
In Dredge, we play as a fisherman who sailed to the archipelago to replace the previous one, who disappeared at sea one night👀... We catch fish, crabs, sell them, talk to characters, complete their tasks, get a gifts from them, improve our boat, gear, and... We try not to plunge into the abyss of darkness and unknown creatures that appear at sunset in the impenetrable fog👀
As the game progresses, we learn about a certain ship and its owner, whose wife kept a diary. Now he drifts on the waves in the form of notes in bottles.
I love horror elements!😆•⩊• And once I was almost eaten by a huge angler! But I'm sure there are fish there that are bigger than him. Much bigger... The main thing is not to wake the gods sleeping at the bottom.
The sound of the waves is very calming*__* and I also saw dolphins and whales swimming nearby, releasing a stream of water^^ From the first minutes I understood "This game will drag me in for a long time")) Everything would be fine, the water area there is large and there is a map with marks, but sometimes I experience topographic cretinismxD😅
In The Northern Path we will not fish, but hunt, set snares, traps and play as a young officer Nikolai Trofimov, who goes to the end of the world, to the icy lands, to find traces of his missing father.
