Illustrated Stonewares from Fishink
Fishink creates wonderful graphical displays for the home and personal use. Illustrations and print merges in a way that is pleasing to the youth and young at heart, giving off a smile in its enthusiastic scribbles. Originally made by Craig, a designer and illustrator, Fishink branches out from stationery to home products, giving diversity in his capability of producing wonderful artworks and design. The stoneware featured in Fishink’s Etsy store (http://www.etsy.com/shop/Fishink) is collaborated with the help of Norwegian ceramist Tone Von Krogh. Delighting the lead on the potter’s wheel, Tone allows Fishink’s distinct taste and style on paper to be put into ceramic vases and plates. Products are then glazed with white satin to add a formidable feature on the design. Digital transfers are added after the firing it two times. A third firing is made to ensure that the product is safe for human use; although the makers mention that it is not yet recommended to be placed inside the microwave. Fishink is comprised of quirky animal drawings, abstract figures and colorful blends surrounding every design. Their range of stationery has been popular among kids and adults, who love something new and different. You can visit their site for more information here at http://finshink.co.uk.
