i listened to Sweet Trip’s new album with a friend and made a color palette that felt like the songs. Later that night, I made an abstract landscape with the palette that attempted to stay true to how the album made me feel. It’s not quite there but it was a meditative experience almost, associating sounds with colors. - Digital, May 2021

one of my best friends moved away my sophomore year but he came back to visit this summer. i really missed being with my friend group and regret not givin the dude a hug.. we all swam in a lake and the water was great but the bottom was murky and slimy and covered with sharp rocks. The contrast between the murkiness and the beautiful weather had drawing potential, and here is the drawing! June 2021, Digital

Illinois highway view when there are no cows or colorful/interesting plants. It gets really boring after a few hours but it’s still nice after looking again, seeing the rolling plains, the distant electrical poles, and bluish hints of trees in the distance. one of my favs. I was doing a LOT of digital drawing at this time, but most of it was done during the ungodly hours of 10pm-3am since I was so busy with the tough schedule I had given myself. I would also just be in voice calls with friends but said nothing because I was so tired. Doing this made me really happy at the time, but I had to get in control of myself. My eyes would always water when I did this, and that third panel brings back good and bad memories. - December 2020, Digital
