QUESTIONS

1) fave song right now?

2) fave video game right now? or what are you currently playing?

eeeeeeeeeeeh, i don’t play video games

3) fave book/comic right now?

aaaaaaaaaaah, i don’t have time to read anything other than textbooks right now, but the last book i read was a re-read of the wide room, and i’m just itching to tear open my issue of the first volume of fraction and aja’s hawkeye. it’s been sitting on my shelf for months.

4) what language (besides english or your own native language) would you like to master if you had the time/ability?

i would like to get a grip on my spanish again. like, i still master it passably, i guess, but i would like to take the time to actually feel comfortable in it. otherwise i’m not really big on languages. IT WOULD BE SO COOL TO LEARN FINNISH THOUGH. i’ve been meaning to ask my grandmother to start teaching me forever, but i’ve never gotten around to it.

5) what would you want to wear if you had the money/comfort to do so? (pics would be great if you wanted)

i’ve never had a problem with money or clothes, i’ve always worn what i’ve felt comfortable and pretty in. which, considering how picky i am, isn’t much. but i guess if we’re going there, i would love to walk around in regency dresses all day every day if it weren’t for social scrutiny.

6) got any weird hobbies/habits you feel comfortable sharing?

and this is the moment i realize how ridiculously bland i am. no??? not the sharing part, i just don’t have… hobbies.

7) what fictional character do you love but would also want to punch in the face?

i’m not the punching type?? i’m the reasoning-with-an-angry-voice type. and just because it’s you fishy i just keep thinking about howl, but nah, he doesn’t deserve to be punched, he just needs to be reasoned at with an angry voice.

8) any allergies? i love suffering w/ other allergy ppl

pollen. ah yes. love spring.

9) whats a weird fact you know or what weird subject do you know a lot about?

i have so much obscure knowledge. not a lot that i can offer now offhand, but if you’d ask me i’d remember. a lot of local history, all the way from the stone age when we first started inhabiting the area to the local businesses that went out of practice a few years ago. i’ve read about half of what’s published of queen victoria’s diary entries. i know of the domestication process behind common cotton. just a lot of history in general, being a history geek and all.

10) what’s a skill you really admire but have no desire to learn yourself?

so many!!! you know, just all kinds of craftsmanship, being a clumsy little shit myself. like all kinds of athletic feats. like literally anything that takes time and practice to learn, i’m just a lazy theoretician sitting around pondering days in and days out.

11) share something you’re proud of! even if it happened when you were like 5, or wasnt that big of a deal!

oh gosh, this was hard. i so seldom take the time to feel proud, and that’s something i really should work on. but i really am proud of my academic career so far, which is something i really need to cling on to as i finally start writing on my 10 points essay these coming days. i’m proud of my secondary school senior project, i’m proud of my work in the student’s union, i actually was fucking proud over being one of five scholars from the culture school. i’m proud for having made it into law school, even though i haven’t really found my place here yet. but so i hadn’t my first year of secondary school either, and that obviously worked out fine. so yeah. i’m proud of my academic career so far.

Thanks for the ask!!!Air: I don’t like flying.  Like, at all.  For a lot of reasons, I’ll pretty much choose any other form of transport unless there’s just no other way to go somewhere.  (Fortunately, I’ve recently discovered the wonders of dramamine, which helps mitigate certain...uh, symptoms, so that helps.)Color:  My favorite color is teal.Red:  My mother’s mother came from Ireland, and despite the fact that they were “black Irish” (a misleading term that really just means they had very black hair, as opposed to the fair hair more often associated with the isle), that heritage presents in me through the presence of red undertones in my hair that become highlights when exposed to enough sunlight---and there are actually a redhead or two on that side of the family, so there you go. Speaking of family heritage, my paternal great-grandmother came from what is now the Czech Republic, and she happened to bring with her a bracelet, a few pins, and two necklaces (one short, one long, opera-length I think) made of real Czech garnets.  These, along, with a rosary made of rosewood, also my great-grandmother’s, were given to me by my grandmother (her daughter), and are probably my most treasured possessions.

Love triangles. It’s such a turnoff for me.

Um. I’m currently Hannigram trash. Yes, still. My babies (Fitzsimmons) always holds a special place in my heart. AND I’M REALLY INTO MACKTREMORS LIKE GOSH THIS PARTNERSHIP IS EVERYTHING.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Jack Crawford had a genuinely good heart. He wanted to do good in the world and to right his wrongs. It was just that his methods didn’t always weight out the means.

Platonic love, just in general, in any type of media. I can never get enough of deep and meaningful friendships.

And if we’re talking generalized and fandoms, just… More open mindedness? Too often in fandom, I see people being way too narrow minded, believing their perceptions to be the absolute truth, and refusing to accept any inputs from other points of view. And idk. For just fans in general to be more open minded. Because, especially when you’re a “prominent” fan, you’re perception can gain a lot of momentum, and people will latch on to it without really thinking about it themselves, and it can cause a really toxic group mentality. So yeah. More open mindedness and critical thinking in fandoms please.
