Hey, so y’all know that awesome movie Redline? Well there’s this swell OVA for it called Trava Fist Planet and I love it so much. 

The animation is amazing, the world-building is phenomenal, and the characters are so well written and are legitimately my favourite part of the whole thing. Y’all should go watch it.

I read your review of red line, saw you say anyone could have been s star in a solo story. don't know if you knew but two of the characters come from a short the director made prior to the movie. Look up Trava on YouTube it might still be there.

Yup, I remember not long after I wrote that review, I stumbled upon somebody talking about Trava: Fist Planet in relation to Redline. I found it on Youtube, but it was in, like, 240p and didn’t have subtitles. I didn’t go digging any deeper because that’s not really my scene, but even just from the little bits I saw, the influence it had on Redline is clear.

That being said, I think Sweet JP and Sonoshee make a much better protagonists than… uh… *checks IMDB* Shinkai and Trava.

I wouldn’t mind returning to the world of Redline again, but the animation director seems to be busy doing Lupin the Third stuff now.
