It's funny because my favorite vegan gym heroine commented about the flattering effect of people assuming she'd need all plates herself below another comic of mine, just a day before this happened to me. Now I know how you feel, Ilja! Well...
Although, to be honest, I have some (muscle-) catching up to do to actually take the flattering interpretation half serious (for now I'm afraid I'll have to assume it's making fun of me or excessive politeness).😅
In a desperate attempt to save my body from desk disease and further painful decomposition (and also in optimistic expectations of preparing myself for a potential return to derby next year...), I signed myself up for one of those discounter gym chains. I'm hopeful, sort of fascinated, and also... afraid. (So mayyybe expect some more comics about my gym adventures ;) )
In that guy's defense, I guess I don't necessarily look like I'm into weightlifting. But still... (Also: wtf is a "women's circuit"?? I didn't dare ask more questions at this point.😑)
I suffer from severe Socially Awkward Penguin Syndrome so this is pretty much among the hardest challenges for me in the gym.
I feel used.
(Seriously, running really isn't my thing.) 😭
Tomorrow is my first day back at derby in ages. I feel... not quite ready??
Oops. Better get out that dictionary.
(English compromises are nicer than Spanish compromisos.)
