Day 1 with Vivofit
Yesterday, I received a Vivofit as an early birthday present. It's Garmin's version of a fitness tracker that doesn't need to be recharged or have batteries replaced for a whole year! Also, it is waterproof so it can be worn swimming, has a heart rate strap and integrates myfitnesspal as its caloric intake input method.
I found myself more motivated to do active things. Like take my son to the park. And not veg out on the couch. The vivofit also got me back into tracking my calories, which showed me I have been eating a shocking amount of calories.
And it showed me how often I'm waking up at night due to cosleeping with a night nursing baby. Though it doesn't have strong sleep metrics, it does a decent job of night movement tracking.
