oh you've GOT to be kidding me
-- Another day, another assignment. Except this time Fitz was needed for the field. He was good with computers, building new tech. So this-- well, he was on his way anyway because he was needed.
All he had was a badge and his briefcase as he entered the crime scene. What was he supposed to look for? It seemed like bloody murder - with blood being the emphasis here. Coulson had his reasons and all Fitz could do was trust him. He set his brief case down, preparing the drones he built, but again everything was just so public he wasn’t sure this would be the right spot.
“Hey, you--” he called out towards the male he saw entering the scene. “You shouldn’t be here, this is private.” he stood now facing the male who had entered. Once S.H.I.E.L.D. entered a crime scene, that entire area was off limits, so how the hell did he weasel his way in? -- @indestructiblemind
Meaningless chatter, glasses hitting one another with a sharp clink, men guffawing as their wives remained politely at their side. It was a scene that was all too familiar to Leo; whether it was a charity event, a social gathering, some fancy gala, everything blurred the same way the city lights did after just enough wine. She was hyperfocused on the ache of her feet and the heat of the crowded air, the conversation she was supposed to be vehemently engaged in becoming dull white noise. It was only when her father addressed her by her full name -- Eleanor -- that she had come back to earth, feeling Fitz’ grip tight around her waist. Her stomach churned at the touch. She shook her head and gave a polite smile. “I -- sorry,” she apologized, “I think I’m just going to step out for a moment. You know, get some fresh air, if you don’t mind.” Hardly waiting for an answer, Leo removed herself from the conversation and didn’t bother dragging Fitz behind her, making a beeline for the balcony. @fitzmcntgomery

gone are the days of ordering room service, pouring over mission files and preparing for whatever the next mission might throw at him. nowadays sees him squinting at the tiny display on his tablet, trying to figure out how to run half the programs that a comms. team could use in their sleep, while picking up chinese take-away or whatever pizza place is close to his motel. he rotates every two weeks like clockwork, never staying in place for too long, but even with his system there’s still that margin of error. it’s the only rational reasoning behind how it’s possible he’s walked into the same pizza place in a city as big as new york as LEO FITZ.
it’s funny. his last memory of fitz was laughing over some bad joke, and saying he’d see him later when he got back from the fridge... but for fitz, his last memory of him was when he was possessed by hydra’s resurrected god. ( yeah, he’ll never be able to wrap his head around that one. some things.. you just can’t make sense of. ) he doesn’t flee, simply holds his ground as he moves to stand in line behind him. he gives him space though; he’s not stupid. “ fitz. ” his voice is tight, strained. he doesn’t WANT this to end in a fight but he’s more than prepared for the inevitability.
