Trick had been walking around town trying to get a feel for the illustrious Indigo Springs that had once been his ex’s home so long ago. He knew Fletch had gotten out as soon as he could, but like all hometowns, he knew it still held a piece of the other man, and he found that intriguing. Not that he planned to stay of course, he was simply passing through, but how could he resist? Especially once he had seen the hardware store with a familiar name on it, drawing him in to look around.
That’s what Trick was doing now, browsing the shelves for new gear he might find useful, while also hoping to catch a glimpse of something that reminded him of his lost love. The one thing he hadn’t considered, was that said lost love would be there going about his business. Shit. He knew damned well he couldn’t rush out without drawing attention, so instead he approached Fletch and cleared his throat, throwing the other man a tentative smile when they locked eyes. “Hello.”
