Poorly Spelled Book Review #1 For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn

First book of 2025 and it was an amazing pick. You dont have to know about the authors amazing tiktok scetch series, Hells Belles, to enjoy but I really enjoyed the little nods the the series and being introduced to characters I already loved. Im not the biggest fan of Romance, so I read this more for the fantasy aspect, but the romance and spice that was there was incoperated so well that it didnt throw me off. I loved how the romance help the story along, and didnt take over the entire story (which is the problem I usully have with romance books). It might have been easier for me because I was already inlove with the characters. Seeing there story play out was amazing. This is deffently a must read!!!

Also as off this time it is only avaible on Kindle but will deffiently buy when it comes out in paper format.

Cris Watches Star Trek Starfleet Academy S01E01: Kids These Days

I haven't seen much of Star Trek other than random episodes of Voyager in the 90s, and the first season of Discovery where Gortash Malfoy pretended not to be evil for almost the whole season! But Starfleet Academy has come across my tumblrdash and has provided me with two very important arguments to watch it:

were it that those caught in the calms of storms could do more to appreciate them. the days prior had been harrowing, for many within their waning group : those that still stood, alive and miraculously uninjured, could do little to ignore the precipice of change they stood upon. come the eve of 'morrow, they would be well on their way to reclaim an institute of which only one of them belonged to, and by the end of it, there is no guarantee any of them would be left standing. how could a normal human ever be expected to enjoy the silence of the night before, knowing the dangers that lay ahead? and yet still, he tried. supposedly marked by death right to his steady heart, spreading a curse of finality to those around him ... and the only one calmer is the very reliver who had suggested their mad plan to begin with.

"you can stay, then." it's closer than he has afforded him, outside of moments they've fought for their lives. their noses could touch, if he leaned a little further. he doesn't, but there's a strange tickle in the back of his mind — a thought, that maybe he wanted to. "i'm not afraid to let you close, harbinger of death."
