So, this is random but...

(I mention medical things so I’m going to put a skip just in case of squeamish folks)

My wife just had a conversation with my yesterday after watching Five Pennies (a really old Danny Kaye movie). I was commenting on how they kept talking about a rabbit in regards to pregnancy and I had no idea why. She pauses the movie an tells me that, in order to determine pregnancy early, they would inject come kind of hormones into a dead rabbits ovaries and depending on the reaction they could determine if the lady was pregnant or not. If the woman wasn’t pregnant they’d say “The rabbit died” and if she was then “The rabbit knew all about it.” I stared at her for like five minutes. A) because I wanted to know why in the hell she KNEW that. And B) I have seen that movie so many times and never knew/ never bothered to look it up. She pointed out that it’s even in some Aerosmith lyrics from “Sweet Emotion” (Can’t catch me cause the rabbit done died) 

Why didn’t I learn about this ever? I feel lied to somehow. I don’t know why this seems so weird to me but it does. Did other people know this?

Time to remind you all of my never-ending love for Danny Kaye. I think part of why I love him so much is that he seems like he would have been an amazing father. Good dad potential = Sexy!
