Nemophila maculata - Five-spot
This little beauty, a California native, is of the Borage Family, Boraginaceae. Tiny little annuals which sometimes self-seed like this pup are very sweet and delicate, but aren't exactly ideal for filling in gaps in big borders. Another downside is they flower for a very short time - but who could possibly not love a little face like this, even if they're not exactly "useful"?
