"Well...no. Yes. No. I mean..." Fiver stumbled over his words, eyes wide and breathing beginning to quicken the more he focussed on what he was feeling rather than just letting it come and go. "What...What have we done?" A shiver ran through him, his vision swaying and dripping with no real sense behind it, not that he could focus on it right now even if he'd wanted to. "Are...Are you really sure this was the right thing?" He looked up at her with eyes pleading for reassurance, beginning to redden from strain. "What happens now...? We can't just...leave him there."

"What? What true colours? I just..." He trailed off, following after her knowing he needed to talk to her, even if he didn't know what he wanted to say or how to say it. "I think..." he sighed, he just had to say it, he could clarify after. "I think you're the fox cub. And, and I need to find a way to help you because...because foxes won't ask for help, and that's when they need it the most. A very smart woman told that to me, and I think it's true for the fox, and I think if I don't do something, that you're both in...in great danger." @xtinyslip

Fiver tilted his head, the words stirring something inside him. A weight pressing on his chest that wasn't quite his own. He fidgeted with his jacket, unsure how to respond, but, knowing he had to say something. "I...I think I understand." his voice was soft and clearly unsure. "Sometimes, even when things seem perfect, something inside feels...wrong. Like you're missing a part of yourself." He could feel his cheeks heating up into a gentle blush, not really sure why. Embarrassed, he looked around the room for a distraction. "It's not just you. It's common. Maybe...Maybe it's an easy fix. I don't know."

"i don’t remember asking for this... but somehow, my life has been rewritten." (Fiver & Alice)

Fiver's nose twitched as Alice's words lingered in the air, his gaze fell to the floor for a moment, overwhelmed by the flood of sensations clawing at his small frame. Phantom aches that gnawed at him, clouded visions of something he can't quite understand, but knows its severe. He shook physically, as if trying to free himself, but, it didn't do anything for him. Not really. "I...I didn't mean for it to happen like this." his voice was small and fragile, unsure how to explain what he's feeling or seeing without making things worse, if that's even possible. "Rewritten?" he shook his head. "Maybe for you...But.." he looked up at her, eyes wide with worry. "I just wanted to help the sheriff...I didn't want for any of this."

GRIPS: sender grips receiver's arm tightly. (Fiver & Sidney)

Fiver flinched, his breath catching as Sidney's grip tightened around his arm. The sudden contact overwhelming his extrasensory connection to Billy, sending sharp waves of pain, fear and a burning rage through his mind. "Please...Let go," he whispered, his voice shaking. "I'm...I'm trying to help, but it's all too much. What do you want from me?" His wide eyes darted around, panic increasing, the weight of everyone else's emotions closing in on him.

“I’m a terrible dancer.” (Fiver & Morgan)

Fiver smiled faintly, glancing at Morgan and actually taking in the music that played around them for the first time since he'd arrived. "You and me both. It's not a thing where I come from." He said with a light chuckle, though his usual nerves crept into his voice. "But, I don't think anyone's here to judge. Besides," he added, looking around the room. "It's more about blending in tonight, isn't it?" He scratched the back of his neck, still distracted. "We could always just keep to the edges. No one notices much there." He glanced up, offering a small shrug as if trying to reassure them both that it wasn't a big deal. @daydrcamings

“I prefer watching from the sidelines to participating.” (Fiver & Alice)

Fiver glanced over at Alice, feeling a strange wave of familiarity he couldn't quite place. Her words resonated with him, he often struggled to feel part of the crowd, even back home. "Yeah, I get that." He replied, voice quiet but thoughtful. "Sometimes it's easier to just watch, take it all in without getting too involved or risking anything." He shifted slightly, fleeting images and sensations already beginning to toy with him. "But...maybe that's why we're here." He mused, almost to himself as much as to Alice. "To stop watching and actually...figure things out." He looked around at all the masked figures, none he could recognise. But, something about them felt significant, even if he didn't understand exactly as to what. @fcrafcrtnight

“Oh, I didn’t realize they handed out invitations to just anyone.” (Fiver & Edgar)

Fiver's brows furrowed softly, Edgar's sarcasm certainly not lost on him. He took a deep breath, letting the prickle of unwanted tension wash over him. Any problem the other had with him, was only because he didn't like the things he'd had to say. That wasn't new at all. This was just like what happened with Bigwig and he came around in time. "Yeah, well, I guess they made an exception for me." he replied, trying to keep his tone light, but not fully succeeding. He glanced at Edgar, the strange buzz in his mind already growing stronger. "Besides," he added, quietly. "I'm not sure any of us really know why we're here. Do you?" @fcrafcrtnight
