The holes on these PJ pants were an entirely self-inflicted disaster. They're fairly new pj's from Svaha (100% cotton!). I didn't want the hem on my short leg to get ratty, so I took it to mom to hem... but forgot to preshrink it, so it came out too short. I couldn't see well enough when I ripped out the seam, so I also ripped holes. And of course @makesgooddirt takes pride in her work, so she'd made a matching stitch line on the left leg, which i should have left alone, but no, I ripped holes in that too. Oops.
Anyway. They were thoroughly perforated. But still comfy, so I wore them until some of the perforations tore.
The horizontal arms of the big satin-stitch stars are fixing long rips.
I learned parachute stitch and a cute woven star stitch for this. I used black parachute stitch when I got tired of satin stars, and woven stars on little holes.
I've washed them twice since then and worn them a bunch. One lil star is coming undone, but everything else seems solid!
