Okay cause genuinely i gotta know what was REALLY going on with Simon cause I don't understand him

Uh warning for like brief mention of SA at one point in this and also just overall spoilers for the entire book

So Simon is supposed to be this loser nobody at the beginning of the book. Rob's whole deal was he wanted to see if he could get Simon to be voted Class Favorite. That's the whole meat of the book.

But Simon CAN BE so much more without Rob's help, it's GENUINELY BAFFLING TO ME he never did anything with it!

He literally hacked into the schools computer system, changed Young's schedule for him, got some payback on Lance by giving him a few unexcused absences, did Coop's ACT FOR HIM so he could get a scholarship, AND never fell into Rob's influence! All on his own! AND he changed the school system AGAIN so all HIS votes for Class Favorite went to ROB, JUST TO SCREW WITH HIM! AND THIS ISN'T EVEN MENTIONING THE FINAL CHAPTER!!

He has these moments of just openly defying Rob, in front of EVERYONE, just because he KNOWS it pisses Rob off! It's SO STRANGE how he would just LET himself be harassed by Lance and the other popular students for YEARS, considering not only all this, but what we find out in the last chapter.

Simon knows everyone's secrets. All their business.

The final chapter of this book is Simon's moment. Rob is pissed at him for screwing with the votes. Simon reveals he has dirt on EVERYONE. He brings up Rob being SA'd by his dad for years before he transferred schools. He brings up something Bobster did that I genuinely cannot remember what, but he brings SOMETHING UP. He calls out Young for being a coward and letting Rob manipulate and control him. The only person in the room he DOESNT bring up is Coop, but I think that's just because Coop never had any part in the Simon thing and Simon genuinely LIKES Coop.

Simon could have just brought up WHATEVER HE HAD on Lance to make him stop. He never does. It just doesn't make sense to me how Simon managed to stay on the bottom until Rob tried to pick him up.

Oh fun fact when I was somewhat fresh out the womb [like 7-8 months] my parents had some people over, and my mom was drinking some vodka pink lemonade. Well, my dad thought it was regular pink lemonade and my mom walked into the kitchen to find my dad feeding little baby Iz vodka.
