I’m still deep down the modding rabbit hole but I came across something I wanted to share. Searching through the game files I found this little critter. I initially thought it was an angry orange but a friend told me it’s a tomato. Then the penny dropped. I think this is the killer tomato!!! It looks menacing but kinda cute in its own way. I don’t believe it was ever used in the game but if you ever do find it, please let me know. All images copyright Square Enix Co Ltd.

i love my stupid idiot woman, so when she wasn't compatible with flagrum, i was content to ignore the much cooler, upgraded experiences flagrum mods provide. However, i went ahead and installed the latest version today, since I had to have the non-avatara vanilla ffxv.exe file in place to play comrades with my wife anyway. I figured I would nab some more shots of ravus and verstael or something before going back to my Avatara Restored ffxv.exe file... BUT I CAN USE HER WITH FLAGRUM NOW???????? I NEVER HAVE TO UNINSTALL FLAGRUM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL SO INVINCIBLE I COULD CRY!?!?!?!??????? So remember when I mentioned I was trying to get my old Ardyn 4K texture upscale uploaded to CurseForge and it was taking forever?
Yeah so that took like 8 days for me to figure out the issue because for some reason the CF file list HIDES files that have been rejected and doesn't give you any kind of notification when it happens.
Okay, my file got rejected. I poked around and realized it was an older .fmod version so the CF automatic file scanner probably didn't know what it was.
Cool, re-export the mod from Flagrum, it's definitely on the current archive version, it's verified working three times over, there's nothing in the file besides several textures so there's really nothing for it to get tripped up by.
Instantly hit with "failed to verify archive"
?????
Ask on the CF authors discord. "oh maybe our scanner broke? tech will get in touch with you about it soon"
3 days later: crickets
I poke again.
"like half the team is on vacation, try making a support ticket?"
Now to be perfectly clear here, no shade intended on the CF staff. They're providing an excellent website and are, most of the time, uncommonly quick and flexible when issues arise. I've only ever had great interactions with them, including when we got to fully customize everything about how XV mods would be handled by the site (including our own archive format despite the site normally only allowing .zip files, setting up categories, etc)
It's just that I'm exasperated with my usual fucking luck lol, I go to upload a Flagrum mod for the first time in 3 years and THIS HAPPENS
