I used the main stained glass artwork from the Vesuvian Palace as my starting point, imagining it as the emblem of Vesuvia.
I originally considered using the colours of the stained glass itself (like pink and purple and light green), but instead decided to stick with colours that are more often seen in flags of the world.
The white and yellow are used to represent the white and gold of the Palace, whilst the blue is used to echo that beautiful blueish-purple tint taht seems to cover all of Vesuvia. The red is used to echo the pink of the stained glass in a less garrish way.
(Also, by adding red, I managed to sneak in all three colours from Lucio’s palette – he was the ruler of Vesuvia, after all, and I believe that he would’ve done everything in his power to make himself fit the part of ruler in every way, including the colours of his clothing.)
