I just think Balthazar is more fun if you read everything they do passive-aggressively ;)... But yeah, I do find it weird that Peter weighed in there, and I think that's why I like the idea that Balth's response was P-A... because really it was a little hypocritical... Even though Balth's name confusion was miscommunication, I think Peter trying to point out HIS favourite was really not in good taste.

There are so many ways to read those "I like {Balthazar,Pedro}" lines, but my favourite is: Pedro is sincere. Balthazar is passive-aggressive... P: "I've always liked 'Balthazar'". B: "Well, I always liked Pedro, but it's not really up to you, is it, mate?!"
That’s an interesting reading, there are literally so many ways to interpret it. I thought it was interesting that Peter weighed in on Balthazar’s name discussion at all, given that he clearly doesn’t want his own name up for debate. But I think the difference is that Balth being Stan was a miscommunication whereas Pedro/Peter was a choice. I think they’re both sincere in certain ways; like you said for Peter, but then with Balthazar it kind of felt like ‘I call you Peter because it’s your choice and I respect it, but just while our cards are on the table let me say that even if you didn’t always like who you used to be, I did’
I think the most passive aggressive bit was when Peter came in being all like ‘why did you text me when you could have just come to my door?’ or whatever he said, that made me pause for a second
My "Where were you when LoLiLo dropped" story: I was in a Skype chat with flutish but we were kind of doing our own thing more or less and I was doing a tag on Tumblr and had to google some song lyrics. And then I just went ahead and refreshed the tab with the Youtube page and the video had come up. Earlier that night I had kind of invoked a no-uppercase-letters rule for the chat, so I just went in like... "video... video video video... videooooooooooo... 6 minute video". And then we watched.

In re to whether it is insensitive of Ben to discuss Peter in front of Balth, I personally think that they might never have officially been together. It is possible at the end of nmtd Peter was resistant to enter a relationship thinking he would screw it up, so instead they just stayed in an awkward more than friends stage for a while, until one of them got sick of it. Idk thats just my theory. I'm curious how much Freddie knows about their history though considering she knows nothing about 2014
Yeah, I’m curious how much Freddie knows since she wasn’t even aware that Balthazar was in Ben’s vlogs? And in regard to pedrazar, I think there’s a possibility they never officially got together but it just seemed odd to me that in one foot Ben didn’t even want to talk about Pedro possibly dating other people in front of Balthazar and now he’s call with talking about Peter having sex with other people? Idk, I guess maybe the difference being that Ben doesn’t think Balth likes Peter anymore.
