In contrast to Eukaris’s democratic nature, Animatros employs a kind of Meritocratic Monarchy - namely, there is a designated heir (or at least there should be one) but in order to gain the throne said heir (or any potential challenger) must beat the current ruler in single combat. This not only ensures that the ruler has the strength to rule but the determination to see their goals through. For Animatros, the position of rulership is a very harsh responsibility and any misstep can be the downfall of all you sought to achieve.

This kind of high-stress nature eventually motivated Flame Convoy to mandate a weekly day of peace just so it didn’t cause him to go nuts from stress.

Flame Convoy/Scourge in Cybertron is really interesting. 

We find out that he became leader of Animatros because he thought the old one was too corrupt and didn’t use his strength to help or protect anyone, so he slayed the dude to do it himself, battle-style.

Noble man who tried to do the right thing with the “strength and power makes you the top” mentality. 

But then later he just comes to Megatron’s rescue like “Pal, I am fucking bored, can I join your world domination gang? I wanna punch someone.”

I hope he and Megs stay on good terms, I really enjoy their buddy-like dynamic! Flame Convoy doesn’t even use “-Sama” for Megatron, equals OvO
