#flame scrying

Hi! First things first: I mean this in the most polite and respectful way possible. It seems like you're good at fire scrying. I'm a new witch, and I've heard that this is a more advanced skill. Is there any harm in trying it out before I'm "ready" besides that I'm likely to make incorrect divinations? Thanks!!!

Hey! Your ask seems perfectly polite and amitable, so no worries there!

I'm not sure I agree that fire scrying is an advanced skill since you're just . . . gazing into a flame. Practice makes perfect, and everyone has to start somewhere. If you're interested in any type of divination, there is 0 harm in experimenting for yourself and finding out what works for you.

Please take precautions though in that any Tom, Dick, or Harry might try to tell you they're the One True God if given the chance.

Hey there! That's surprising that you've never heard of it before. I think it's pretty self-explanatory, much like water or crystal scrying, but to put it as simply as possible, you gaze or scry into a source of fire. If you need any tips on how to get into or involved with it, I have one post about it here.

Just tried my hand at flame scrying and boy was it intense 😮 I kept seeing someone running, icy mountains, the words hollow and reaching, the direction east, and my hands were freezing even though I was cupping a lit candle but my third eye was burning even with the candle far from my face. Given that I'm new to this I have no freaking idea what this means lmaooo it could be prophetic or it could be telling me something I need to know. It was fun though, I'll be recording most of my sessions in a notebook after this lol
