[`he lingers in the hallway and lets out a quiet sigh, attempting to collect himself before entering the hospital room. he doesn't know if she's awake by now. he can't shake off the uneasy feeling that's hung heavy in the air around him since their conversation the other night, though the letter she'd left did at least offer some reassurance that she didn't hate him. he pushes open the door, taking a step inside and glancing up hesitantly, nervous what sight would greet him.]

{/she finally is able to sit up, twiddling her thumbs she’s waiting for him to show up at any time. it took her twenty minutes to shoo away all of the doctors and nurses away— their prodding and scolding annoyed her to no end. hearing the door open and watching him step in, her heart rate goes through the roof. she smiles and clutches the bedsheets before softly speaking.} H-Hi.

In this note contains all of the things I didn't say directly to you the other night. I apologize I was silent when you were explaining, getting me to understand from your point of view on...romantic feelings(?) My brain was processing it all too fast. I kind of just... shut down. I'm not upset with you anymore, I forgive you. As someone once said, "When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future." Speaking of the future, I'd like you to be in it-- whether it be friends or more. You make me feel things that are very confusing, and I like that. I want us to teach each other things along this fucked up journey we call life. We have lots of adventures to go on-- I'll talk about that later, though.

Back to the other night-- your anguish and pain overwhelmed me so much, I could tell in your eyes that you were pouring out everything so raw and wounding, your voice so hurt. I feel quite guilty for having you relive that. I apologize. You seem to have a dark mind and you're emotionally unstable to a degree, which intrigues me. I would like to help you, but I don't know how yet and I don't know if you'd like me to. I bet you're reading this like, "Pfffft, you can't help me. There's nothing you can do." I can try, though, right? You're stuck with me, heh--
