It took a while of painful locking in but we have Flame's spin off chapter here :D
Flame's Guide on Keeping Yourself Together - 5alm0n - Unstable Universe (Web Series) [Archive of Our Own]

Flame was instantly aware of someone else at the door to his room.
He sat up, instincts long since trained to notice the very slight shadow that crept in, the imprint of his older brother in the doorframe. It also helped that their nighttime chats were becoming more regular.
“Heading out?” He asked simply.
Mane had been hinting recently in their messages about a possible undercover mission; one he’d need to fully infiltrate for. The lion said it was to take down Jester, the End District’s notorious villain, but Flame didn’t quite believe him. The Commission had left him alone as he did them, that was just how their tentative peace worked. Why choose now to disrupt it?
“Yeah, bro,” Mane stepped in, taking his talking as permission to creep further into his room.
Flame shuffled to a sitting position as Mane came to sit on the edge of his bed.
“Still can’t tell me anything?” He frowned, his honestly pathetic best attempt at puppy dog eyes.
“Nope,” Mane chuckled softly, bringing a hand up to ruffle through his dreads, to which the blaze gasped and ducked away in mock offense, “But don’t worry, Spark, I’ll be back before you know it.”
Flame grumbled something under his breath.
“How long will it take?”
“Hard to say,” Mane sighed, “I’m crossing my finger that it’s no more than a couple months. I’ll be back before you know it.”
“What if it takes longer?” Flame knew that both he and Wemmbu ran the risk of being sent to the orphanage if Mane was absent for an extended period of time. Flame had never been an orphan, though Wemmbu had, and he was a bit scared of what to expect in all honesty.
“I filed emancipation papers for both you and Wemmbu, don’t you worry. Both of you should be able to stay here and stay heroes for however long I’m gone. Just don’t kill each other, okay?”
“Maybe if he’s being annoying…” Flame muttered.
“You won’t,” Mane reiterated, “You’re brothers now, you should learn to tolerate each other.”
“I will if he will.”
Mane chucked again.
“Just stay safe, okay Spark?” He leaned closer and left a tiny kiss on Flame’s forehead. The blaze attempted to wriggle out, whining.
“Bro, I’m not a kid anymore,” He protested, but was unable to escape.
“But you’ll always be my baby brother,” Mane stood, “Make sure to tell Wemmbu I’ll be back and not to worry.”
Flame nodded absentmindedly. Maybe he won’t, at least not for a bit. Just to make the demon wait.
“I’ll see you soon,” Mane gave him one last smile at the door before disappearing down the hall. Flame heard the front door open, then close, and silence in the apartment.
He grumbled one final thing to himself about how annoying the lion was sometimes, then scooted back into bed and drifted back off to sleep.
