❛ Race you to the bridge? ❜ - Bylese to Byleth!
Game of Thrones Meme: Accepting || @flamecrest
“I’m already half way there!”
His sister hadn’t even gotten half way through her sentence before Byleth sprinted forward. Seeing a bridge, he knew what she was about to propose. And he’d be a fool to not beat her that time! He was honestly surprised she hadn’t expected him to race forward before she got out her proposal. Seeing as she’d done the very same thing the last time!
“Can you run in those new heels of yours, sister? Try not to trip!”

( letters || ACCEPTING BUT SLOWLY ANSWERING )
13. a letter from the past
[ a letter found in the student’s dorms – crumbled and left unsigned // @flamecrest ]
Dearest Professor –
Byleth.
I have often heard that writing helps express what cannot be expressed – to understand what one does not know. And I suppose, it is for that very reason I write this letter….I, however, pray you never find the contents of letter….and if you do, well – then I pray I do not live long enough to have to deal with the fallout.
If you were ever to find the contents of this letter, I don’t expect you to reciprocate the sentiments it holds. Quite frankly, I hope you never return the sentiment as it will muddle the situation even further. Everything is…to precarious to risk. And I respect you too much to drag you into such cart-crashing reckless. Yet even so, I find myself needing to say ( or rather, write ) these thoughts in order to ‘ get it off my chest ‘, so to speak….
I have feelings for you. Though, it’s admittedly becoming harder to name them all.
Love is too strong of a word that I often fear it – and admiration, I think, is unable to capture completely how you make me feel. Can it explain why I’m anxious to see you smile again ? Why I wish for you to rely on me as I’ve relied on you ? I have never felt so anybody in this way, and I think that frightens and confuses me most of all….I have never felt so certain and yet unsure of what is this feeling in my chest ?
Perhaps it’s all in my head…? Perhaps it this is simply a boyhood crush that came too late…? Perhaps when we are both older, this will be something I outgrow…? Or perhaps nothing will change at all.
No matter the circumstance, it is hopeless to think anything will come out of it…I simply wanted clear the air to no one but myself.
Yet, oddly enough I am not…disappointed. And maybe that is how all encompassing my feelings are….friendship, companionship with you….could never be disappointing. It will always be enough.
Yours,
flamecrest replied to your post: Every time somebody complains about their dad...
am I literally the only one who had a good dad?
“Let’s see... Mine’s a dirtbag, Felix is the third favourite son when he has only one sibling, we’ve got multiple people who’s adoptive fathers just want their crests, I don’t think anyone minds Hubie murdering Bern’s father... Speaking of Hubie, there’s got to be a reason he killed his own. I suppose Petra’s might have been alright, but he’s gone, as is yours.
So. Good men really do die young.”
