this poor boy. on one hand, i relate deeply to some part of his struggle - the struggle to be recognized, to be consistently chasing someone else's shadow. it's incredibly difficult to be raised by a sibling that also outshines you. at the very least, i am glad kyojuro is still around to be there for him, but...

i think he struggles with the dynamic he was forced to live with and how it's affected his sense of self and, kyojuro, for all his good intent, doesn't know how to address this. they are very different. i have my own ideas of how to help senjuro feel more at ease with accepting what he can and cannot do, and the nature of his new home, but... it will take time, and patience. but patience and understand is the best thing you can offer a child, especially one who's been through so much.

he is very good company! very sweet. i'm glad he was able to find a home here, away from his father. i would give anything to make him feel like it is a home, and some place that is safe for him. i would like to start teaching him some initial medical knowledge... maybe he'll find it inspiring!
