The little Seiten Taisei grabs Gojun by the arm and drags him over to Hikaru's house. He crosses his arms and looks up at the tall silver haired dragon king with a serious expression. "Now I know you and Hika-chan are my daddy and mommy and I'm going to tell her that you are lying!" He threatened, golden slitted eyes narrowed.

Being forcefully dragged by the child, Gojun blinked. It wasn’t often such a scene like this occurred. Then, when the youth explained himself, the officer mentally face-palmed. “How am I lying if that is the truth?”

Quiet Me [After he tells her about Tenpou and Kenren ;~; ]

Once Gojun had broken the news to the Flame Goddess, all hell broke loose. Well, it appeared that way to him, anyways. On top of being unaccustomed to handling children, the officer should add sobbing goddesses. Military experience and even his War God clan had failed to prepare him for situations like these.

Hikaru had collapsed to the couch, hysterically crying in her hands. He didn’t blame her for having this type of reaction. It was normal. Of course, again, this wasn’t to say he knew what the heck he was doing. Awkwardly standing before woman, Gojun thought of ways to approach her.

The Commander opted to kneel before her, figuring literally getting down to her level would somehow help. In all honesty, where was Kamora? She was much better suited at handling these kinds of situations. Throw him a formidable opponent, and he could devise countless ways to bring it down, but this? He had absolutely nothing in his vast arsenal.

“Miss Hikaru…?” Gojun softly spoke, afraid that he was going to set off another wave of tears.

Between sniffling and hiccupping, she was a complete mess. Trying to regain some form of composure, watery eyes peered up at the man.

Relieved, he quietly exhaled—unaware of unconsciously holding his breath to begin with. “Miss Hikaru,” Gojun began, still in that soft-spoken voice, “please dry your tears. I would imagine your tears would make General Kenren and Marshal Tenpou sad. If I know them well enough, they would rather you party at you three’s favorite sakura tree in their memory.”

Hikaru sniffed as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hands. As she did so, the goddess lightly chuckled at the officer’s lame attempt at comforting her. “You realize you’re horrible at this, right? But thank you, Gojun.” Still sniffling a bittersweet smile surfaced among redden tear-stained cheeks. “You’re completely right, though.” That said, Hikaru pulled him into a hug. Even if the man was awkward with certain things, she knew he meant well. “Thank you again, Gojun.”

All the Commander could was stiffly place a hand on her shoulder. “Not at all, Miss Hikaru.”
