It’s floof-ball season at the flamingo pond! #AnimalFact A flamingo nest is a carefully constructed pile of mud (you can see them in the background of this video). Upon which an egg is laid and incubated. When the chick hatches out, they have gray downy feathers. As they grow their proper feathers in, they maintain their gray colors.
