Some radsheep for @flannelshirtandjeans!
I decided to make a wild and a domestic variant (mostly because by fallout trend, sheep would be devoid of fur, but then Jay would be sad and we do not want that, so I made both). They are shy, skittish animals but can be tamed with patience, and recognize and trust their human handlers. They have two heads, one which keeps watch while the other grazes.
Domestics have wool, though it tends to be more wiry and tough than what pre-war sheep had, and they require more intensive care. Their wool tends to get matted and tangled and needs to be either brushed or shaved regularly. Wild sheep usually have little to no wool, although they can still have patches of fur, typically along the back or on the elbows and knees. Like most wildlife in fallout, they also come in glowing/radioactive.
Both variants have brittle horns that grow for the entirety of their life, up to three pairs that will crowd their heads and grow uneven and messy. There are a lot of health complications associated with horn overgrowth, such as eyes being pushed shut, or stab wounds from one head to the other. They also tend to get tangled between the two heads, which impedes their movement and makes them easier targets. For domestics, the owner of the flock will often elect to break off or saw off the horns if they grow too big, to prevent accidents an injury. The horn can then be used for whittling or similar things, although it’s fairly porous material and degrades over time.
