Ugh god as if I wasn't already sick of Iris and her shit and the way she treats Barry, tonight had me even more done with her ass like she didn't even want him back. IS2G Cisco seemed and acted more like Barry's lover than she did 😂

With Barry in the speed force, Iris, Kid Flash, Joe and Vibe have taken over protecting Central City. However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The Flash doesn't appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. However, the Barry that comes out isn't the same Barry that went in.

Finally watched Flash 4x01 and my thoughts are
- it takes Barry 2-3 times to bag a metahuman. So Vibe and KF bagging them on the first time 2/3 of the time is actually significantly better track record than Barry. Writers come on now, you're playing yourselves.
- Cisco managed to keep a secret for six months? And all the people he consulted? OH REALLY?
- I get he wanted to be sure before he approached the others with a plan. honestly, Cisco could have been from day 1 'I refuse to believe Barry has to stay in the speed force. Let's get our boy back'. And while some wouldn't believe it's possible to get Barry back they still would have time to accept Cisco is working on it. There would be a lot more 'maybe it's time to stop and grieve' discussion instead with Iris ready to move on and Cisco not. And it would be a reflection of Cisco's grief over Dante? And we could establish Cisco as the 'fuck the rules, I'll risk the world to protect those I care about' as a foil to someone else's more 'okay, but we still need the world to exist' pragmatism.
- Iris is all about trying to be strong and move on and if the point above was used it could have been more about Iris giving up hope and wanting to start the grieving/moving on process to everyone else still clinging. Thematically speaking 'hope/faith is hard to nurture in the face of adversity but stronger for it'.
- I want Barry's gibberish to mean something. Cisco is translating a whole new language. This house is bitchin' sounds like Google Translate trying out a new language.
- I love how we have more proof that Central and Keystone have a ton of farm land surrounding them even 300 miles out. It suits my headcanons.
- there is no explanation for the Cold Gun other than to be a TEASE. Both for Killer Frost and Captain Cold.
- I liked GG's facial hair but not his hair length. It remind me of Savitar and the emo wig from 2024. He needs a haircut.
- Barry's doing that Invincible stunt again. Ugh. The Speed Force gives him uppers, doesn't it?
- heeeeey, introductionary pun by the Thinker. Very comic book style. I love it.
