Wally West becomes new Doctor Manhattan
As stated above, Flash Forward: Epilogue” continues Wally West's story from the Flash Forward six-issue miniseries with all-new content. The Wonder Woman story by Snyder and Hitch introduces Diana as DC's first superhero as she saves Franklin D. Roosevelt from an assassination attempt at the World's Fair in New York. Wonder Woman's heroic efforts inspire a new generation of heroes to rise up, including the first Green Lantern, Alan Scott of the Justice Society of America.
Okay, so my theory: Assuming this whole 5G thing was actually true and not something Rich Johnson made out of his ass for clicks, they will have Wally West steal Doctor Manhattan’s powers and try to undo Flashpoint and merge histories, creating a new world where superheroes started with Wonder Woman in 40′s and aged in real time. This is the first thing that makes me consider this may actually be happening and not a lie made by Bleeding Cool. It made no sense for me since DiDio HATES legacy characters and hates things moved on since he was a kid. But if he could pin the blame on his most hated character? If he could make all the fans whine how Wally West made his fave old? I can see him doing that.
Irony of ironies, this basically has DiDio turn Wally into a villain that tries to change the history because he “cannot let go of the past”. You know who else was that? Hal Jordan as Parallax. DiDio does exactly what he hated to see happen to one of his faves here and sees no issue. As it was with Wally’s portrayal in Heroes in Crisis, the hypocrisy of people who cannot let go of the past telling fans to let go off the past is lost on DC editorial.
