Can I mention if it turns out that theories are true and older Wally got so lost in the simulations of the family he lost he ended up losing contact with reality and killing everyone....that this is gotta be EXTREMELY hypocritical coming off from DC?

“Wally could not let go of his wife and kids, that’s why he went mad. You cannot live in the past, you need to let go and face the future”. Say the same people who brought Barry Allen and Hal Jordan back to life and undid Barbara Gordon’s disability to make her Batgirl again and constantly try to take a shit on their replacements at every opportunity because they’re mad things changed since their childhood.

FLASH #64: GOTHAM GIRL, SANCTUARY, And Other Revelations Of 'The Price' - SPOILERS

Connections are made, but the price must be paid.

I’m behind Flash due to still working on my last best of the list and working overhours, but I just wanted to say, whenever I’m reminded the book now has crossover with Batman (that I’ll have to get into eventually due to Gotham Girl apparently just going full 180 into villainy) that is dealing with the fallout from Heroes in Crisis.... this is how I imagine Barry Allen confronting Batman about being responsible for Wally West’s death:

I’m not usually talking about Wally West unless in context of his interactions with younger heroes like younger Wally, Kid Flash. This is because I respect that his fans like him as a character who was allowed to grow up and become an adult and it wouldn’t feel right to try to go the “nope, still at least young adult” route. But...can we agree this is Barry’s fault? If he wasn’t such a dick in Flash War or tried to help Wally free Jai and Iri from the Speed Force, then all of this, whenever it is that Wally is dead or had he gotten mad from simulations of his kids that Sanctuary subjected him to, wouldn’t happen.

I have mentioned before - if this is older Wally and he did it because he “couldn’t let go of his past” then DC are colossal hypocrites on soo many levels.

Did...Did Damian just said Wally and Rachel broke up? They hooked up the same fucking day this was published! And I thought my last breakup was fast!

And add to that Avery clearly trying to flirt with Wally here, which, while certainly would be a cute pairing, goes against Gene Yang setting her up with Kenan in New Super-Man for quite some time. Then you need to remember Wally and Tanya in Deathstroke, Wally and Donna in Titans, and Barry and Jess in Justice League vs Barry and Meena and then Iris in this book....I think the writers are treating romantic lives of speedsters like some sort of Royal Rumble. Williamson threw Hitch over the top rope after long battle Percy did same with Priest but now it looks like he might be eliminated by Williamson and Abnett and then Williamson will throw Yang over the top rope. and probably Abnett as well, to become the only guy to decide romantic lives of speedsters.

Now imagine that fight with all those guys dressed like wrestlers do and Dan Didio and Geoff Johns doing their best Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler impressions. You cannot prove it’s not something like that.

Oh and Iris finally remembers Older Wally and this, in turn, brings back some of his lost memories. Including another goddam tease of Bart and at least hint they might be bringing back other Forgotten Speedsters - Jay, Max, Jesse and especially, due to the setup, Iri and Jay West. In fact, it makes perfect sense for the Flash War - Older Wally trying to bring his children back and Barry trying to stop him from causing Flashpoint 2: Nudist Smurf Bugaloo. Which also means that we can guess who is behind this sudden return of memories. Always with the kids, eh, Hunter?
