  Alphacool ha presentado hoy nuevas imágenes de un interesante prototipo de bloque y bomba para los nuevos procesadores AMD Ryzen Threadripper, el nuevo Eisblock Flatboy. El nuevo bloque especialmente diseñado para la plataforma entusiasta de AMD tiene un diseño plano que nos permite elegir entre las entradas y salidas laterales o superiores, aunque parece que las laterales provocarán que no podamos usar el DIMM más cercano debido a que los codos de 90º necesitan el espacio.

Sea como sea, el bloque parece estar diseñado para los servidores en rack, ya que su bomba hace que obtengamos cierta redundancia en el sistema de refrigeración líquida, ya que esta se añade al circuito o incluso podemos a llegar a depender de ella para circuitos simples.

De momento se queda en un interesante prototipo, ya que este tipo de bloques con bomba integrada son más comunes en las refrigeraciones líquidas AIO y por ahora no había ningún fabricante que ofreciera esta opción fuera de estos sistemas.
