Paragon. To be fair Iāve only done one playthrough but paragon feels closer to my own morals. Although some of the lesser renegade options are fun and I could probably handle some of the moderate ones, I know I could never do true renegade.
I played as a soldier in all three games, which worked out well because I had access to all the weapons and didnāt want to be restricted. That said, having played multiplayer and used the Flare power in ME3 I will definitely be getting a character with some biotic or tech abilities in my next playthrough. Iām thinking Sentinel or Engineer. I like those two because you still have access to a good range of weapons while gaining some biotic or tech abilities.
26. Blue, Green, Red, or Fuck You?
Ha, nice name for the Refusal Ending. xD
I chose Destroy (Red) on my playthrough, and hereās why: on Ilos in ME1 Vigil tells you that to stop the cycle you must destroy the Reapers. From that moment on I was certain that I was going to destroy the Reapers in ME3. Even with the other choices of Synthesis and Control, I donāt buy that that would eliminate the Reaper threat. How do we know that Control will hold? How do we justify the Reapers calming after synthesizing with organic material?
Destroy gives the galaxy a clean slate, and thatās why I chose it. Although I will say that Destroy seems to favor the humans more than any other race, not to mention it hurts the Quarians by eliminating the Geth.
I know everyoneās going to say ābut what about EDI?ā and thatās the one part of the Destroy ending that I still have trouble with. Sacrifice is to be expected in war, but it still pains me to know that my Shepard will get to go back to Liara while Joker will never be able to speak to EDI again.
75. What moment/memory still gives you chills/feels?
So many. Liara taking up the helm of the Shadow Broker in ME2 and the look on her face just before;The moment when you come face to face with the human Reaper during the suicide mission in ME2; The asteroid crashing into the mass relay in Arrival, halting the Reaper invasion; Leaving Earth in ME3 as thousands are slaughtered; The view of Palaven burning; Reaper ships descending on Thessia as asari soldiers scream over their radios; the end of the Citalde DLC where the crew looks out at the Normandy one last time; The Fleets arriving at Earth to take on the Reapers; saying goodbye to your LI at the Beam on Earth (for me it was Liara...I cried); and seeing the galaxy rebuilding after you destroyed the Reapers.
76. What are you hoping for from ME4?
Iām hoping for a combination of the combat system from ME3 with the return of ME2-style heavy weapons. A combination of story from ME2 with ME3ā²s scale would be fantastic. Also keeping the squad system that weāve had in the last three games. MORE LGBT ROMANCES, especially for the female protagonist. Also being able to play as another species (asari or female turian, hell yeah!) would be awesome.
I know Biowareās said that none of the old characters will be returning, but Iām still hoping for a Liara cameo. :P
