One of my childhood homes had a long row of shehtoot (not sure what it's in English) trees which just had explosions of tiny, super sweet, berry like fruit, a lone almond tree which I used to climb to pluck the almond blossoms, a massive network of grape vines covering one part of the house which you could stand under and find a canopy of thick skinned, bruise purple, grapes. My mother's always loved tuberoses so much because of their fragrance that we buy them each week as a staple like sugar.
