"Mydei is fan service too!"
Damn right he is. The difference is that Mydei's entire 'fan service' thing isn't just all about showing off his body for the audience, his entire character is actually enjoyable, nicely written, and he does not exist SOLELY for fan service like some characters unfortunately do.
The fact that this man also has badass cutscenes, backstory and personality with nice depth, cooks for the Chyrsos Heirs and play house with children, enjoys the pink in his pomegranate juice after he adds milk into it, advertised his favorite pancake, etc. if you think about it, those are all fan service ― they make the audience love him a ton lot.
THESE are what makes Mydei's fan service different from the typical fan service you'd get MOSTLY from female characters. They do not objectify Mydei and water him down to a pleasure meant to be gawked at by the audience. You do not see him manspread and show his damn balls off EVERY MILLISECOND of the frame he's in, an unfortunate case for most female characters that have fan service in them ― their boobs and ass are always shoved in your face every small frame they're in, they do not have an actual personality/arc because their fan service is their ENTIRE personality, and they usually only exist for the gooners to goon at. They OBJECTIFY women into some THING pleasurable for the audience instead of a someone.
I have no idea if I delivered what I meant to say properly, anyone offended by this are always welcomed to call me a gooner, 'most sane Mydei fan', and whatsoever.
