“Ness--” The spear dug deeper into Tatum’s throat, cutting him off.

“Shut up, Slicker,” the pale syreni said.

“You’re one to talk, Sharps, you’re deep in the trench now,” said the short syreni holding Loch, who now had his wrists tied to the end of his tail.

“I ain’t Marianas just yet, you bag of bones,” Sharps snarled. They turned back to Tatum with a wide grin. “I’m just dancing on the edge, friend. When I’m sucked down they’ll know, I’ll be bringin’ them all down with me. We can dance in the dark together.”

“Just kill him Sharps, we’re wasting time,” Nessie said. “I want this guppy back before Aeris comes to get his fighters.”

“You sure I can't keep this one, Nex?” said the one holding Art. She wrapped her tail around his waist, brushing her fingers down his ribs, which had a faint shadow under each one now. “I’ve been getting a bit bored with my other girl, I figure a pretty boy like him would be a nice change, don’t you think?”

Rage crawled up Tatum’s neck like bubbles in boiling water, and before he could think twice he threw his palm into the side of the spear. It dragged through his gills before shattering, slicing deep through the scars already there, but all he could feel was the feverish anger in his chest, like electricity running through his veins.

He darted towards Art, grabbing the wrist of the woman holding a knife to his throat, and twisting hard until he heard a sharp snap. She released Art with a howl of pain, and Art ducked out of the way just in time before Tatum slammed his fist into her nose, a satisfying crunch beneath his knuckles.

I woke up at 5:30am today and then got slandered by Trade’s choice of words for me to find so instead of tagging people I’m just gonna take a nap

#ok but I was suprised I couldn't find trudge actually #I coulda sworn Art truged up or down the hill leading to Tatum n Loch's dock once #Flee makes sense because I actually hate that word for no other reason than the way it's sounds. it's a bad word 0/10 #flex?#eh? it's a fine word I just don't use it much #if someone flexes a muscle I don't usually say they flexed X muscle lol #it's usually something about muscles bunching or squeezing not so much flexing #blight? honestly don't know why I haven't used it it's a good word #would make sense in a dystopian setting #It's a more poetic sounding word though and I don't default to beautiful prose so it's more of a word that I'd add in later rather than firs #*rather than think of using when first writing somethin

I hate it when people don't listen to me about my equipment.

i mean, thanks for helping me carry my wire out (since i let you use it) but if i tell you to just take one section of the center pole, just take one friggin section. i'm not gonna be impressed by the fact that you can carry two, especially when you have to set the ends of them down in the back of my car right in the way of where i'm trying to put the end stand cause they got too heavy. i can carry both of them as well, it's not an impressive feat. it is, however, somewhat miserable, which is why i told you not to do it.

if i tell you something, repeatedly, about my gear, it's for a reason. fucking listen.
