Shiki's day wasn't going well. It started quite normal, her waking up, her taking a short walk attempting to gather information. As always she didn't gather anything particularly useful which prompted her to forget about it by visiting a new restaurant she happened to encounter during said walk. Some food was going to both give her energy and lifte her spirits. Or at least that was the plan before actually tasting the thing. It was bad. You'd think someone like Shiki whose hobby even in the real world was visiting dark alleys in the dead of night, sometimes beating up delinquents or thugs without as much as a thought, would be accustomed to things like that. However Shiki was also raised in a rich household with everything that entailed. Her taste was quite refined.
"Tsk." She muttered lightly. She did eat the thing but instead of helping her sore mood brighten, it only made it worse. Soon, the idea of finishing the thing fast, paying and then continuing her walk seemed much more appealing, so she did eat fast, drunk some water to help gulp it down, left the money in the table, and quietly stepped out. She wasn't coming back to this place any time soon. However, her bad luck wasn't going to let go of her yet because while she was eating, thick clouds had gathered in the sky and rain had started falling. And it appeared to be quite the heavy rain at that.
"..this can't be happening." She said while sighing dejectedly. Closing her jacket to protect what little part of her she could from the rain, she hastily looked around in order to find any temporary shelter for a while. Gazing at the falling rain alone wasn't something unpleasant, if you were not the rain's target yourself. Seconds later she did spot a tree. The fact that it was both afternoon and it was raining, didn't give her much time to look for an alternative so she dashed there as fast as she could. Still, as much as she had relished the thought of looking at the rain alone she had to give it up upon finally reaching her destination, seeing that someone else was already there, doing that exact thing.
"..." Not offering a form of greeting, Shiki lazily stared at what she thought as an intruder (of her precious private time of watching the rain) for an instant before having another "Tsk" escape her lips, and then quietly turning her gaze towards the rain, totally ignoring him. It'll pass. She thought.
